INTRODUCTION
- The Attention Step
- Example of a boy who loved to sing, sang to his mother on her death bed, who also thought her son could become a great singer...
- The boy has the image of him singing to his mother on her death bed which is very close and personal with him and fuels his motivation to become a great singer one day because no matter how badly he screws up on his career, he always has the thought of his mother’s smile in his mind.
- So have you ever had a moment in your life where you tried to correct failure? You failed so many times you just want to quit?
- If your answer is yes, why not gain from failure? Why not rue the day and develop an indomitable spirit?
- Credibility Statement As Tzar of Russia Ivan IV, I had many personal misfortunes. My father died when I was of age 3 and my mother was poisoned at age 8. I fueled my hatred for the Boyar Family who I believe poisoned my mother and I eventually destroyed them entirely.
- Using personal misfortune, even hatred can bring upon success and happiness.
BODY
- The Need Step
- In every walk of life there are people who suffer from failure which leads to loss of motivation.
- There was a man who was fired from a newspaper company because he “lacked imagination and didn’t have any original ideas”
- Who do you believe this man was? This man was Walt Disney and after he tried and tried bankruptcy after debt, he eventually began his business known as the billion-making Disney.
- I know for a fact everyone in this room has felt like a failure at one point in their lives.
- As normal human beings we tend to let failure bring us down and torture us from within. We allow failure to consume our lives and stop us in our goals of success.
- We forget that we always have a chance and that we our the ultimate owner of our self-happiness
- We always believe that since there is always gonna be someone better than us, we may as well not even try
- We always believe that there are winners and there are failures and you can’t go from being a failure to a loser.
- Discouragement leads to failure
- If you judge a fish that can climb a tree, it will believe for the rest of its life that it was stupid (Albert Einstein)
- If you tell someone they suck at their craft, they will get discouraged and may even quit.
- The reaction can go on like this forever.
- The Satisfaction Step
- By using personal misfortune and judgement to fuel your success, you can have a primary source of motivation that cannot go away and produce a better life for yourself.
- You can live this through by:
- You can use a role model as an example to live the life you want too
- You can use the failures of others around you, to benefit yourself
- You can use your own personal failure, no matter how bad to become successful, because no one ever learned from winning.
- You can then use the motivation from winning to drive your success to unheard feats of success.
- Think on your own. What drives you?
- Winners embrace hard work. They love the discipline of it, the trade-off they're making to win. Losers, on the other hand, see it as punishment. And that's the difference. (Lou Holtz)
- You must also put in the time and work for success, no one is going to hand it to you
- I had to go through very harsh conditions with the Boyar family until I finally executed them all.
- I was raped, abused, and beaten daily
- I developed brain deficiencies and decided to get revenge years later.
- I started with a teenage leader of the family and executed him through the use of hunting dogs.
(Transition: Envision yourself succeeding and envision yourself hoddling over a hurdle you never thought possible)
- The Visualization Step
- Imagine yourself succeeding in what is most important in your life right now
- Describe mentally how you feel
- Describe mentally how you will approach everything in life, with just
- Or imagine yourself inspiring someone else, who did great things in life.
- It’s a simple life hack relating to motivation
- Anyone can do this, no matter your personality
- With motivation you can do anything your heart is set to
- It makes you happy
- The Action Step
- (Call to Immediate Action) Since I probably have overwhelmed you with information, I want to do a simple activity, which doesn’t require too much thinking.
- Think to yourself and think of a failure that really affects you right now
- Think about it for a while
- Silently and to yourself think of something or someone that really motivates you to overcome the failure with success.
- Go out and achieve!
- Our world was built on ordinary people like you and I but the ones that stood out were willing to put the time and effort into their craft and weren’t afraid of failure.
