For this segment of my DP I will be explaining the process of trying to maximize the profit for our client. The problem was to sell an amount of rock and rap albums that would maximize the profit of our client while following constraints such as how much money the company can spend, how we need to produce more rock than rap albums etc. In order to find the best profit we had to use variable names to represent which lines were which so we could stay organized and not get confused on what we were doing. There were many constraints that we had to input onto Geogebra as a line to find the feasible region easily and keep it organized. The inequalities were changed from inequalities to lines so we didn't have any shaded areas so it was much easier to see straight lines and produce a polygon straight from that. The expression we needed to maximize was the money because the business is trying to create profit which has to do with money. Our recommendation is the maximized profit because once we had our polygon we were able to take past knowledge and also use the origin to base which vertex was the most profitable. We didn't use the one that was farthest from the origin but we used the one that also had a y-value in order to make more profit.
Each person was given a role for the client and the different roles for my group were, Facilitator, (Runs the Discussion) Documentor (Holds all our documents), Geogebra Guru, (Uses Geogebra and is given inequalities to graph) and Spokesperson (Clarifies and explains most of what we are actually doing). The Facilitator was Hannah, I was the Geogebra Guru, Tristen G. was the Documentor, and Isaiah was the spokesperson. Hannah was not actually with us most of the time while finding the inequalities and she arrived almost at the end of the period. Tristen G. and Isaiah were doing very well when they were finding the inequalities with me which was a habit of focus, collaborating and working together. I had to pay attention real closely to what they were both saying so I was able to input what they wanted me too and I did everything efficiently without help from anyone in my group. Our group worked together really well by collaborating and working together without getting into debates or trying to prove each other wrong. One challenge we had was trying to find some of the inequalities because we were having a hard time in the beginning with starting small. We eventually overcame that challenge because we began to collaborate more and start small before we tried to take the problem head on. I feel like my strength as being a Geogebra Guru was I literally knew how to do everything my group was asking me to input and I was having no problems with Geogebra not working for me. One task that I could improve on with more practice is possibly working on the inequalities a little more because sometimes I would be sitting there waiting for someone to give me the next inequality.
