Crayfish Colored Light Experiment
Our purpose within this experiment was to see how crayfish react to different colored lights in their water tank.
What we did was we got colored sheets and shined a light through them onto the crayfish and near the crayfish in order to see how they would react. We had to steadily hold the light onto the crayfish in order for the experiment to run smoothly.
Purple Light
Red Light
Green Light
Based on the data shown above I honestly don't believe the light really affected them at all based on color because the data seems very scattered and coincidental. Most of the data has the crayfish in random areas and they didn't really react to the light because they probably don't perceive color very well.
I believe we could have chosen a different route because I was skeptical at first but agreed anyways to what had happened so I believe we could have chosen a different topic and done more research on the senses of a crayfish.

Purple Light
- Crayfish #1 moves away from light and goes to darker areas
- Crayfish #2 ignores the light (distracted by the bubbles from bubbler)
- Crayfish #3 goes toward the light
Red Light
- Crayfish #2 runs away from light to darker areas
- Crayfish #3 ignores light
- Crayfish #1 hides in the PVC
Green Light
- Crayfish #3 moves away from light
- Crayfish #2 didn’t like the light and moved away
- Crayfish #1 hides in the PVC pipe
