We made cool designs out of shape constructions and created an art piece that was supposed to look like something we wanted to make. The purpose was to teach us how to use a compass and construct different kind of shapes using the compass and straight edge. We also implemented art into this project by adding our own unique design or creating something out of shapes. We learned to construct hexagons, different kinds of triangles, and circles. I also learned how to create a spiral which was one of the challenge options for this project. Benchmark #1: We basically created a sketch on a design or object we wanted to create to have an idea on what we wanted to construct. I chose to create the Milky way since I wanted to implement a space sort of aspect into this design since I thought it would be visually appealing.
Benchmark #2: We had to actually construct the shapes and also create the design we chose so that we would be implementing math into this project as well.
Steps:
1. Find a spot in the middle of the paper and create a golden spiral using squares as your construction.
2. Create a smaller one to the left of that spiral
3. Then create a smaller one to the right of the spiral
Benchmark #3: We had to produce the art aspect of this project and fully color this draft to make it look good. The main point of this benchmark was to make your construction look artistic. In my product I had an easier job since I was the only one in the class making spirals so the critique I received was to emphasize the spirals in this benchmark since that's where the beauty of my construction came from.

Reflection: I had a great challenge on placing the spiral where it is supposed to go and I got very stressed on how to actually make the spiral get to where I want it to be. A great success I had is doing the challenge option in math which is very rare for me since math is something I need to be more confident in. The due dates were challenging since they were tightly packed in and we basically had a day to do BM#2.
